PID lamps

Photoionisation detector lamp is most commonly used in VOC gas detection, in gas chromatography (GC) and sample ionisation for mass spectrometry.

Photoionization detector lamps are most commonly used in VOC gas detection. Other areas of use are gas chromatography (GC) and sample ionisation for mass spectrometry.

The PID technique uses a lamp with known photon energies in the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) region.

The output from the lamp is used to photoionize gaseous molecules with ionisation potentials lower than the photon energy emitted. Typical photoionization detectors measure volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other gases in concentrations from the ppm to ppb level.

Noblelight offers a complete range of PID lamps with the highest quality in terms of intensity, spectral purity and long life. We have decades of experience in lamp design and manufacturing to supply our customers with the highest quality and expertise. Our latest development is the automized production or RF PID lamps to ensure a controlled process and most consistent output.

Both DC and RF excited lamps are available with a variety of gas fills and window materials. Thereby we can fullfill your specific VOC sensor project requirements.

Customers can benefit from our design expertise. The Noblelight Technical Team works closely with OEMs to design and build products to meet their specific dimensional and performance requirements.

Do you want to develop your VOC sensor for environmental monitoring, personal protection, fire hazard detection, narcotics or explosives trace detection? We are your partner for high quality long lifetime PID lamps for VOC sensors.
